Description
The Old Rectory Malthouse is a converted stable range dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a low-pitched slate roof that is hipped at both the east and west ends, with one ridge stack and a central coped gable. The building is designed in the Tudor style, characterized by flush quoins. The central gable includes a four-light mullion window with a hoodmould above two Tudor-arched coach entries. To the left, there is a one-storey wing with a Tudor-arched doorway and a two-light mullion window, both of which also have hoodmoulds. To the right, there is a cottage wing that features alternating two-light mullion and transom windows along with Tudor-arched doors, all equipped with hoodmoulds, and two later flat eaves-breaking dormers. The building is listed for its group value.
