Description
The building is a barn and stable range located approximately 10 meters south of the Dukes Arms Farmhouse, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with the stable likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof, although part of the rear slope has been replaced with corrugated sheet. The stable has a pantile roof.
The central barn has a three-bay design with a wide central doorway that has a wooden lintel, slit ventilators on either side, and a boarded rectangular opening above on the left. The lower range to the south includes a long rectangular opening in the south gable. The stable range to the north features two 20th-century small-paned windows with wooden lintels and a row of five doors at the rear. The central barn showcases a slender raised cruck roof construction. A 20th-century addition at the rear of the barns is not considered of special interest.
