Description
Nos. 13 and 14 are a pair of cottages located in Grafton Underwood, likely dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a thatched roof with a 20th-century brick ridge stack. There is also an outbuilding with a Collyweston stone slate roof and a blue brick ridge stack. The cottages are one storey with an attic.
No. 13 has a 20th-century porch on the left, with a 2-light eyebrow dormer above. To the right, there is a 2-light small-paned gudgeon-hung casement window with a wooden lintel, beneath a longer wooden lintel that extends over a single light window. No. 14 features a 3-light small-paned 20th-century window on the ground floor and two 2-light small-paned eyebrow dormers above. The entrance is located in a one-storey addition to the right.
In the center of the pair, there is a one-storey outbuilding, likely a wash-house, which has a door and a window on either side. The interior of No. 13 includes a chamfered spine beam and a renewed bressumer.
