Description
Nos. 1 and 3 High Street are a pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed ironstone and feature an artificial stone slate roof with brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of three bays.
No. 1 has a doorway in the second bay from the left, which includes a wooden lintel, a plank door, and a gabled timber porch. To the left of this doorway is a three-light window with a wooden lintel and an old iron casement. No. 3 has its doorway in the second bay from the right, featuring a wooden lintel, a half-glazed door, and a gabled timber hood supported by brackets. On either side of this doorway are three-light windows with wooden lintels and wooden casements, and similar windows are found on the first floor. The right gable end is coped and includes kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
