Description

The Hooper monument is a double chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 3 meters north of the Wilton monument and southeast of the Church of St. Christopher. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features baluster corners, a moulded base and cornice, and has two plaques separated by a fluted strip on the north and south sides. There are oval plaques on the east and west sides. The earliest readable inscription is for J. Hooper, who died in 1811.
