Description
The barn located to the north-east of Cheyney Court is a structure that dates back to possibly the early 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a Bridgwater tiled roof with coped gables. The east end of the barn has a stepped buttress. On the south side, there are two lean-to entries that have 20th-century louvred doors, with two buttresses positioned between them and a band of dove-openings above. To the right of the right lean-to, there is an original stepped buttress, while a 20th-century stepped buttress is found to the left of the left lean-to. The rear wall has two buttresses and five 20th-century hipped dormers. The main doors have been blocked. Inside, the barn features a collar-and-tie beam triple purlin roof, which appears to have been constructed in two separate phases, although most of the tie-beams have been removed.
