Description
The Gazards is an early to mid-19th century cottage, originally composed of three parts and situated with its rear facing the road. The construction is of rubble with stone tile roofs, and it features four chimneys. The front elevation displays two windows and a doorway topped with a cambered wooden lintel. On the north side, facing the garden, are two ranges of 19th-century sash windows, with a blind first floor. A Venetian window is also present. A modern glazed porch with paired doorways and a segmental head sits below. A gable-lit attic is above. The cottage was built as weavers’ cottages and is described as picturesque.
