Description

The Smith Memorial is a pedestal tomb located 29.5 meters north of the tower of the Church of St Peter, dated 1812. It is made of limestone and features a square pedestal tomb on a broad square base, which was formerly enclosed by railings. At each corner, there are triple shafted and fluted 'Gothick' Greek columns, topped with an urn in a classical style. The east and west faces have sculptured decoration, while the north and south faces display inscriptions that read "SMITH - 1812."
