Description
The Smith monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 7 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb is tall and features a moulded table with a hipped centre, along with recessed corner balusters. The side panels display coloured lettering commemorating Robert Smith, who died in 1833, and Susannah Brown, who died in 1839. The monument is enclosed within tall spear-headed railings.
