Description
The Smith monument is a tall chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 32 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. This 18th-century monument is made of limestone with sandstone side panels. It features a moulded table and an entablature with a pulvinated frieze, and the panels are slightly set forward. The tomb commemorates Susanna Smith of Hercoll, who died in 1776, and Peter, who died in 177?.
