Description

Lyemun is a house that was originally three cottages, dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick noggings and has been extended in brick at both ends. The house has a thatched roof and stands two storeys high, with a central earlier block consisting of two bays. The framing on the ground floor was replaced in the 20th century, and a thatched porch was added. To the left, there is an 18th-century one bay extension beyond the original gable stack, constructed in diaper brickwork and thatched. To the right, there is a one bay extension from the 19th century. Most of the windows have been replaced in the 20th century. The roof is hipped on the left side and half-hipped on the right side, with a lean-to at the rear.
