Description

The Smith family tomb, located approximately 30 metres north of the sanctuary of the Church of St Peter, is a chest tomb dating from around 1800. It is made of dressed stone with a tooled base. The top slab features finely-carved lettering within a sunk border, adorned with raised decorations, including trumpeting angels in the top corners, an open book, and fans in the bottom corners flanking a flower. The tomb commemorates various members of the Smith family.
