Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE DOB LANE SE 0223 & SE 0323 (east side) , Sowerby 11/60 Nos 80 and 82 GV II Pair of cottages. Late C18. Thin rubble brought to course, stone slate roof. 3 storeys, 1 bay each. Quoins. Openings have plain stone surrounds, windows with flat-faced mullions. Each has end door, a 3-light window to ground and 1st floors(mullions removed from No 80's) and a very low 2-light window to 2nd floor (mullion removed from no 82's). At eaves on left side a large block ties this pair into No 84 (q.v). Chamfered gutter brackets. Central ridge stack. Included for group value.
