Description
Nos 34 and 38 Horsley Hill Road are a pair of modest cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The buildings are rendered with stone quoins and a shallow plinth, featuring a slate roof at the front and red clay tiles at the rear. They stand two storeys high at the front and have a single storey at the rear, with a long roof slope extending to the back.
No 34 consists of two bays with re-glazed sash windows and a central door. No 38 has four bays on the ground floor and two bays on the first floor, which are symmetrically placed around a central door. All window sashes are fitted with glazing bars. The cottages may have originally been four separate units, as indicated by the 1894 Ordnance Survey map showing four divisions.
