II Road marker; circa 1900; cast iron, semi-circular head, about 600 mm across, with raised margin and lettering. 'VR THIS ROAD FOR THE DISTANCE OF 2675 YARDS (arrow points to left) WAS MADE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CROWN FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS AND DISTRICT 1899 - 1900 E. STAFFORD HOWARD ESQ COMMISSIONER PHILIP BAYLIS ESQ DEP SURVEYOR'.

Very unusual marker, only one in parish; other end of road not located. Four similar markers in Cinderford parish.
