Description
The Montefiore Memorial is a late 19th-century pedestal tomb located approximately 8 meters south of the southeast corner of the south aisle of the Church of St Peter in Newnham. It features a sculpture of an angel, both crafted from white marble, which faces east. The memorial is set on a white marble pedestal and kerb. It stands out due to its distinctive design, which deviates from the typical local architectural style, making it a notable piece worthy of preservation for its artistic merit.
