SO 61 SE NEWNHAM HIGH STREET (east side) 2/44W Montefiore Memorial, approx 8 m south of south-east corner of s. aisle, Church of - St Peter - II

Pedestal tomb with sculpture. Late C19. White marble. Angel in white marble, facing east, on white marble pedestal and kerb. MONTEFIORE. A striking memo- rial, not in the normal local tradition of design, but worthy of retention on design grounds.
