Description

The Smith Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 20 meters north-west of the west door of the Church of St Peter in Newnham. Dating from the 18th century, it is made of limestone and features a lofty pedestal with elliptical raised inscription panels, a deep fluted frieze, and a pointed domical top. The memorial is inscribed with "SMITH, 1795," although it likely dates from an earlier time.
