Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters south-west of Yanworth Farmhouse, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble with dressed quoins and features a stone slate roof, while the lean-to has concrete tiles. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a central porch with projecting cheeks on the west side and a projecting gabled porch on the east, flanked by lean-tos on either side. The roadside front showcases a central projecting porch with single ventilation slits on either side, each featuring single plank pitching doors above the slits. To the right, there is a later lean-to with a shuttered opening and a curving timber lintel. Inside, the barn consists of five bays with simple collar and tie beam trusses and double purlins.
