Description
Coulsty Barn is a late 18th-century barn constructed from limestone rubble with a stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan featuring projecting porches on the north-east and south-east sides, and a loose box that is positioned at right angles to the main structure on the south-east side. The south-east side includes a double doorway that is set back within a lean-to porch with projecting cheeks, located off-centre to the right. The loose box extends forward to the left and has a shuttered window in the gable end. The gable end facing the road features a shuttered pitching window, a ventilation slit, and an owl hole. On the north-west side, there is a low double doorway with a hipped canopy, along with a pitching window located in the upper left. Inside, the barn has four bays, with two collar and tie beams and one truss that has a collar only.
