Description
This barn, located approximately 9 meters east of the Church of St. Michael in Yanworth, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with a brick stack. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a porch with projecting cheeks on the south side, as well as a projecting gabled porch on the north side. There are ventilation slits on either side of the south porch. The left end of the barn has been converted into a garage and store, which is illuminated by a single light and three-light steel casements with horizontal glazing bars. A single plank door is situated between the windows, and there is a sliding garage door on the far left. The gable ends have stepped coping with roll-cross saddles, and there is an axial stack. Inside, the barn features 20th-century roof trusses.
