Description

3 Swan Cottages is a mid to late 17th-century building that was originally two houses but is now a single house attached to No. 5. It features random rubble limestone construction, a concrete rebuilt chimney, and a stone slate roof. The building is two stories with an attic, with No. 5 located at the southeast corner.

The front of the cottage has two half gables and a two-window arrangement. On the right side, there are two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, while on the left, there is a two-light casement with a timber casement above it. A central plank door with a timber lintel provides access. The central ridge-mounted chimney has been rebuilt.

At the south end, there is a single-window arrangement on the gable end, along with two-light chamfered mullioned casements featuring hoodmoulds, and a single chamfered opening in the attic. There are 20th-century garages and a screen wall attached at the north end, which are not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
