Description
Nos 7 and 9 Swan Cottages are a pair of former houses, originally part of a row of three, dating from the mid to late 17th century. They are constructed from random and coursed rubble limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building has a central two-storey block flanked by lower two-storey blocks on each end.
The front facade displays four half gables, each with a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement window. Below these, there are 3-light windows on the ground floor, except for one ground floor 2-light window in the central block. The central block has a doorway with a stone lintel, and there are doorways to each outer block, although the left outer block's doorway is now blocked. Each outer block has a plank door. The central block features two ridge-mounted chimneys. There are two wings at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
