Description
No. 11 Awkward Hill is a small detached house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building is single-storey with an attic, a projecting rear wing, and a lower addition at the north end.
The east front has a higher section on the left with a timber casement window and a gabled eaves-mounted dormer above. To the right, there is a doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door, along with another timber casement window in the lower part. The gable ends of the higher section have ashlar chimneys, and there is a gable end on the rear wing. The interior has not been inspected. This house forms part of a group with Nos. 1 to 9 Arlington Row.
