Description
No 10 is a small detached house located on Awkward Hill in Bibury, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with an ashlar chimney and features a stone slate roof. The house is single-storey with an attic and has scattered two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements with flat hoodmoulds on both the north and south sides. The attic windows are located in half gables, with two on the south side and one on the north. The ground floor has enlarged casements with timber lintels on the south side. There is an eaves-mounted gabled dormer to the right of the full gable on the north side. The east gable end is blank, featuring an off-centre doorway with a gabled porch. A central ridge-mounted chimney is present, along with a brick rebuilt chimney on the west gable end. The interior has not been inspected. This house forms part of a group with Nos 1 to 9 Arlington Row.
