Description
Ivy Cottage is a late 17th-century house located at the end of a row on Church Road in Leonard Stanley. The building is constructed of random rubble limestone, with an ashlar chimney that has been partially rebuilt in brick, and features a stone slate roof. It is two stories tall with an attic.
The front of the cottage has a two-window arrangement, featuring chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds on the ground floor. The windows are mostly two-light, except for the left ground floor window, which is three-light. There is a central doorway with a timber lintel and a lean-to porch hood, leading to a plank door. A single gabled roof dormer with a timber casement is present, along with a gable-mounted chimney at the west end. Additionally, there is a small off-centre fixed light at the ground floor on the east end, which has a concrete lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
