Description
BROADWELL BROADWELL VILLAGE SP 2027 9/68 Broadwell Farm (formerly listed as Slatters 25.8.60 Farmhouse) GV II Detached house and attached store. Early C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, large dressed quoins, stone slate roofs, ashlar stacks. House extends back rear left with stairs projection in angle of 'L'. C20 extension to gable-end at rear not of special interest. Rectangular plan to hay store/yard entrance attached front right. House, 2 storeys and attic. Yard entrance, 2 storeys with single storey store attached right. 5 bay front to house. 4- windowed facade lit by stone-mullioned cross windows with leaded lights, C20 part-glazed door with glazing bars within plain surround off-centre right. Continuous drip mould over ground floor windows. Saddleback gable-end coping with ball finial at apex and on kneelers at eaves. Axial stack off-centre right, gable-end stack at rear. Yard entrance: 3 bays, central bay forming entrance to yard, early plank cladding and pitching door to hay loft on right of entrance. Interiors not inspected.
