Description
Spring Road Cottage is a small detached house located in Winson, dating from the early 18th century and enlarged in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from random and coursed rubble limestone, with a rubble chimney and a concrete tile roof.
The south front features a two-window arrangement, with all windows being timber casements. The ground floor windows have timber lintels. A ridge-mounted chimney is positioned at the former east gable end, which predates the enlargement. The west end of the building shows masonry that indicates the original roof line. There is an off-centre doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door, along with a central upper floor casement that has a concrete lintel. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
