Description

This is a small, detached cottage dating back to the 18th century, though it stands on earlier foundations. The exterior walls are constructed of random and coursed rubble limestone, with a rebuilt chimney. The roof is thatched. The property is single-storey with an attic, and includes a single-storey outshut at the east end that returns to the north side. Originally, the front had two windows; the right-hand window was a 18th-century two-light mullioned casement, although the mullion is now missing, and a modern casement has been inserted. A modern door sits within a catslide porch on the centre of the front, and a further casement is visible in the outshut to the right. At the rear, to the right of the outshut, is a two-light flat mullioned casement with a deep stone lintel. There are also casements in each of the gable ends. A modern, flat-roofed addition to the west end is not of particular architectural interest. The interior was not inspected.
