Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house located on Gloucester Street in Cirencester. The construction uses coursed squared limestone with a Welsh slate roof, and has brick stacks at both ends. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. The first floor has two two-light timber casement windows with glazing bars, set in plain reveals with stone sills. A similar window is present on the ground floor. Dormers are gabled and contain two-light timber casements with glazing bars. An entrance passage provides access to cottages to the rear of the property. A four-panel door within this passage serves as the front entrance to No. 185. The building has a shallow plinth and quoins to the right angle. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
