Description
Lavender Cottage is an early 18th-century house constructed from coursed limestone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has a single unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The original position of the entry is not determined. On the ground floor, there is an early 18th-century three-light cross window with timber lintels, while the first floor has two similar two-light windows, which have late 19th-century casements. The roof is gabled with gable end stacks. A concrete lintel is present over an inserted door, and there is a segmental stone arch above a late 19th-century two-light casement in the left gable wall. The interior was remodelled in the late 20th century. The cottage is included for its group value.
