Description
Nos. 1 and 2 New Row, also known as Goodmans, is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century, with a bay added to the right side later in the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a 20th-century brick stack and a thatched roof. It has a three-unit lobby entry plan that was later extended to four units. The house is one storey with an attic and has a four-window range. There are timber lintels above a 20th-century door and 20th-century two-light casements. Additionally, two half dormers contain early 20th-century three-light casements. The roof is gabled with a ridge stack. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
