Description

These two cottages, later combined into a single house, were built in the late 17th or early 18th century, with an additional bay added in the 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. Originally built as two single-unit cottages, the house now has two storeys and a three-window front. A timber lintel sits above the plank door, which is set within a beaded architrave to the right, and there are late 19th-century casement windows. A one-light casement window is located to the left of the door. A blocked door is visible to the left of the original building’s left window, and another blocked door is positioned to the left of the 18th-century extension. The roof is gabled, with a gable end stack on the right and a ridge stack. The original building's left end stack has been removed. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely to contain features of historical interest.
