Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located on the northeast side of Gloucester Street, Cirencester. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with an artificial stone slate roof and a rear axial stack, with the upper part of the stack rebuilt in brick. The cottage originally had a contemporary rear wing. The main structure is single-storied with an attic, and features a one-window front. The ground floor now has a 20th-century 24-pane bow window. Above, in the gable, there is a two-light leaded casement window. A plank door is located on the left, set under an exposed timber lintel. To the right, at approximately half the building's height, is a small, blocked window opening, also with an exposed timber lintel. The interior of the cottage was not inspected.
