Description
No. 147 on Gloucester Street is a house that was formerly two separate homes, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is built of coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof topped with a stone ridge stack. The building has two full dormers on the front and stands two stories high with an attic, presenting a two-window range.
On the first floor, there are two 19th-century three-light casement windows, while above them, in the full dormers, are two similar two-light casements with stone cills. The ground floor has two three-light casements with stone cills as well. To the right of the building, there is a plank door with two glazed panels, and to the left, a former doorway that has been blocked. The structure has a shallow plinth and a cill band running along the first-floor windows. The interior has not been inspected, but the building is included for its group value.
