Description
Three cottages, built in 1913 by Stanley J Wearing of Norwich for the Bathurst Estate. They are constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble, with rendering to the left return and red brick to the rear. The roof is slate, with two ridge stacks and left and right-end stacks all in stone. The design is in a revived Cotswold vernacular style, featuring three gables to the front and a six-window range. The cottages are single storey with an attic. The ground floor has three two-light stone mullion windows with leaded casements under hoodmoulds, and three similar three-light windows in the gables above. There are three plank doors in chamfered stone surrounds, each with a hoodmould that extends over a small single-light leaded window. The interiors were not inspected. The cottages are included on the list for their group value. Architectural plans are documented within the Corinium Museum archives.
