Description

Garden Cottage is a 17th and 20th century cottage located on the west side of High Street, Mickleton. It is shown on Ordnance Survey maps at a scale of 1:2500. The original core of the cottage is a 17th-century square-panel timber-framed structure with brick infill. A 20th-century brick extension to the rear is not of listable quality. The roof is tiled. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with three gabled dormers in the eaves, each containing 19th or 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars. There are four 2-light 20th-century wooden casement windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century gabled porch is positioned off-centre to the left. The cottage is included on the list for its complete timber framing, despite the other features being modern.
