Description
Mill Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with 18th century and 20th century extensions at both ends. It features a timber frame with regular, square panels and whitewashed brick infilling, along with a rendered plinth and a plain tiled roof. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two framed bays, with an end chimney house and a single storey range added to the left in the 18th century.
On the first floor, there is one casement window set under the eaves, while the ground floor has two windows to the right and one casement window to the left. An offset stack is located to the left of centre, originally positioned at the end, with a door below leading to a lobby entry, which is sheltered by a 20th century brick and timber porch. There is also one window in the extension to the left. A brick extension to the right was under construction at the time of the last survey.
