Description
Innstead is a house that was formerly two cottages, dating from the 17th century. It is timber framed with thin scantling and is underbuilt in colourwashed brick, with colourwashed brick infill above. The house has plain tiled roofs and is one storey with attics, featuring four gabled casement dormers on the eaves. There are corbelled stacks at both the right and left ends, and tension bracing is visible on the first floor. The original two 3-bay cottages have now been joined together. The fenestration is irregular, with three 2-light casements on the first floor and six other windows across the ground floor. There is a door to the left under a gabled porch hood supported by square pillars, and a blocked door is located to the right of centre.
