Description

Ewood Old Farmhouse is a late 16th-century house with 19th-century extensions. The house has a timber frame on a brick plinth, with white-washed brick infilling, and colourwashed render to the rear range. It is roofed with plain tiles. The front has an end chimney plan, and a parallel range extends across the rear. It is two storeys high, with an offset and buttressed stack, partly rebuilt, to the left end. There are three framed bays with three casement windows on the first floor and two three-light windows on the ground floor, the window to the left being the largest. A three-quarter glazed door is located in the centre. The left hand return front has a gable-lit attic window, a tile-hung stack, and a pentice across the ground floor with a further door to the rear.
