2/70 Nos 24 and 25

GV II

Pair of cottages, originally probably three. Probably late C17, restored in C19. Coursed or random coursed rubble stone, stone slate roof, 3 stone stacks. Long single range in 2 main sections with change of roof height and additional small C19 wing to west. Single storey and attic. 2 small gables at each end with 2-light wood casements with timber lintels. Two gabled C19 porches. Remaining windows 2 or 3-light with timber lintels. Far left has half-glazed door to No 25 with row of quoins partially visible in wall to right of doorway. Corresponds across allotment garden to Nos 26, 27 and 28 (q.v.).
