Description
The barn at Glebe Farm is a structure likely built in the early 18th century. It is constructed from rubblestone and features a stone slate roof with coped verges. The barn has five bays supported by collar and tie beam trusses, with an internal partition wall dividing the space into two bays on the west and three on the east. The west bays include a flush cart entry with a timber lintel and double doors located closer to the center. The east bays have a large projecting gabled cart entry, nearly central along the building, also featuring a timber lintel and double doors, with a small light above and a three-holed dovecot situated above that. Both entries on the south side are matched by low-level opposed entries on the north side. Additionally, square vents are scattered throughout the barn.
