NORTH CERNEY WOODMANCOTE SP 00 NW 6/235 Barn c70m north-west of Old Park House

Barn. Mid-late C18. Random limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof. Rectangular plan with a projecting porch and lean-to on the south-west side; extension to the north gable end. Roadside (south-west) elevation: central gabled projecting porch, former double doorway with timber lintel (now blocked with a single-width plank door with boarded over window above). Lean-to to left of porch with plank door to the return wall. Pitching door (without door) to right of porch. North-east elevation: former double doorway to barn (now blocked) with corrugated iron with a window above; 3-light slate lean-to canopy on wooden brackets above; 3-light wooden casement with glazing bars to the right; stone steps up to plank door to the right. Interior of barn: 5 bays with the original collar and tie beam roof trusses; loft inserted within two bays. This building occupies a prominent position beside the road at a junction.
