Description
The open-fronted store located west of the stables at Moor Wood dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a lean-to extension at the front left and rear right, which is not considered of special interest. It stands two storeys high with five open-fronted bays on the ground floor, each separated by squared dressed stone piers that have flat-chamfered tops, supporting a continuous wooden lintel. There is a stable door and a three-light wooden casement window on the far right. The first floor has three small single-light windows. Stone steps lead up the right gable end to a plank door that provides access to the loft. The interior has not been inspected.
