Description

GREAT RISSINGTON GREAT RISSINGTON VILLAGE SP 1917-2017 9/143 Open-fronted store c50m east of Manor Farmhouse GV II Open-fronted store with loft over. Early C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, more finely dressed on the side facing the road. Corrugated felt roof. Rectangular plan. Two storeys. Four open bays divided by timber uprights on limestone padstones, further intermediary timber uprights in the form of tree trunks with the bark removed set back from the front. Right-hand bay now with weatherboarded front. Pitching window off-centre right. Plank doorway to loft in right gable end, possibly formerly with timber access stair. Flat coping at gable ends.
