Description

EASTLEACH - SP 10 NE at NGR SP 184053 4/166 Macaroni Farmhouse GV II Detached farmhouse. c1800. Coursed rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof, artificial stone and Welsh slate to rear. Two-storey with attic; partially double pile plan with rear wing. South front: 5-window fenestration, all sashes in plain surrounds, 18-pane to ground floor, 12-pane above. Central doorway with round arch, imposts and keystone has 6-panel door with fanlight sheltered by parapet gabled porch having similar round arch and ball finial. Three gabled roof dormers; parapet gabled ends to main range with ridge-mounted chimneys and moulded caps. Symmetrical lean-to attached at each end and curved screen walls with swept down ends. Rear: chamfered mullioned fenestration, mostly 2-light. Gable end of wing has later single-storey addition. C19 canted bay window to right. Attached outbuildings to north west are not of special interest. Interior not inspected.
