Description
Cobblestones is a Grade II listed former row of three houses, now a detached house, dating from the mid to late 17th century with early 19th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed and random rubble limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a roof made of stone slate and concrete tiles. It is two stories high with an attic on the southern part, and there is a parallel rear range at the northern end connected by a single-storey link.
The front of the building has a two-window arrangement on the left side, with all windows being recessed chamfered mullioned casements that have hoodmoulds; the ground floor has a three-light window, while the upper floor has a two-light window. There is a central doorway with a four-panel door and a timber lintel, topped by a projecting stone hood supported by shaped brackets. The roof features two gabled dormers.
On the right side, the fenestration is mixed, primarily consisting of timber casements, except for a three-light mullioned casement; one of the casements is located where a former door used to be. The gable ends of the rear range have single-window fenestration, all of which are two-light. The interior has not been inspected.
