Description
Honeysuckle Cottage is a detached house located in Eastleach Turville. The core of the building dates from the early to mid-17th century, with alterations made in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, with rubble chimneys and a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high, with an outshut added to the south end.
The west front has a two-window arrangement. The ground floor features two-light recessed casement windows with cavetto mullions and hood moulds. The upper floor has a similar two-light recessed casement window. A central doorway has a timber lintel and a plank door. To the right of the doorway is an outshut with a plank door and timber lintel.
The east side has a blocked doorway with a timber lintel, a three-light casement window to the left, and a timber casement window with a timber lintel to the right. There is a timber casement window to the upper floor, and a fixed-light window in the outshut to the left. The south gable end reveals an 18th-century raising of the roof.
The interior has not been inspected.
