Description
Eastleach Downs Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse built around 1800. It is constructed from thin-bedded coursed rubble limestone and features ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys, with two-storey wings at the rear. The front facade showcases three half gables, each adorned with moulded parapets and ball finials. The fenestration includes three windows, with two 19th-century canted bays featuring hipped roofs on the ground floor. The middle floor has 2 and 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements, while the gables contain 2-light casements, all equipped with hoodmoulds and small pane glazing. A central parapet gabled porch is present, featuring a square-headed doorway with double 2-panel doors. The sides have parapet gables with chimneys that have simple moulded caps. The rear wings display scattered 2 and 3-light mullioned windows similar to those on the front. The rear of the farmhouse has three gabled wings, with the outer two featuring gable-mounted chimneys. There are attached outbuildings at the northeast corner, but these are not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
