2/88 The Old Barn (formerly listed under 23.1.52 Sevenhampton Manor and outbuildings) GV II

Former dovecote/store to Sevenhampton Manor (q.v.), now house. C16 and C20. C16 former dovecote/store, coursed squared and finely dressed limestone, stone slate roof. C20 artificial stone extension in Cotswold style not of special interest. Former dovecote/store lies at end of range of outbuildings clOm east of Sevenhampton Manor (q.v.). C20 extension at rear not of special interest. Single unit, 1½ storey dovecote; round-headed window with landing platform towards apex of west facing gable. C20 dormer from eaves, on north. All steel casement windows. String between ground and first floor. Access via plank door in C20 extension. Slightly stepped gable end coping with roll-cross saddles to former dovecote/store. C20 extension built in Cotswold style with dripmoulds over windows. Building forms one of a matching pair, see also outbuildings clOm east of Sevenhampton Manor. Interior not inspected.
