Description

Lea House is a detached house with origins in the 17th century and some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features stone stacks as well as an artificial stone stack. The house has a 'T'-shaped plan, with a Cotswold style extension added at the rear in the 20th century.

The building is 1½ storeys high and has a symmetrical twin-gabled facade with two windows. All windows are metal casements set in 2-light chamfer-mullion designs, with those on the first floor featuring horizontal glazing bars. The first-floor windows have stopped hoods above them. The central entrance consists of a plank door framed by a flat-chamfered surround, with a single light in a flat-chamfered stone surround positioned above the door. The gable ends have slightly stepped coping and feature gable end stacks, with the right gable end stack located below the axis of the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
